- The check comment format rule is used to enforce how data must be entered under findings on the mobile app.
- There is the default option which allows data to be entered in any format.
- There is a Letters only option which only allows Letters (ABC) to be entered.
- There is a Numbers only option which only allows Numbers (123) to be entered.
Pre-requisite:
App version 4.18.0
Step 1:
Click on the Checks navigation bar item, found on the left beneath the INSPECTIONS sub-heading.
You will be taken to the screen below.
You are also able to search for a Checkpoint using the Search function.
Click on +Checkpoint, located at the top right-hand side.
Step 2:
On the Edit check screen, under Comment Format rule, click to select a data rule for the checkpoint.
The options are Letters Only, Numbers Only and Any characters(default)
If Checkpoint has predefined answers which are Letters only or Numbers only then the rule will need to conform.
If the selected rule does not conform, then the checkpoint will not be saved.
On the mobile app, when Numbers only is enforced, numeric only keypad will be displayed.
On the mobile app, when Letters only is enforced, only characters can be typed in.
On the mobile app, when Any Character(Default) is selected, any character can be typed in.
