How to un-assign a Component Asset via the Asset Manager screen on the Web app?

• A Component can be detached from Parent Asset.
• After detachment, they revert to being normal Assets.

Pre-requisite

1. Manage Asset Component permission needs to be enabled.
2. Permission applies to both Admins and Techs.

Step 1:

Navigate to the main menu on the left, under CLIENTS section, click on Client Sites navigation bar item.

On the screen that opens, search for the Site as shown below and click on it.

Step 2: 

Click on the Assets menu item.

Step 3:

Search for the Component which needs to be detached.
Click on the Asset to navigate to the Asset Manager Dashboard.

 Step 4:

You will be taken to the screen below, which shows Asset Manager Dashboard.

Click on Tools menu item as indicated below.

Step 5:

You will be taken to the below screen.

Click on the Detach button.

 Step 6:

The Detach Asset pop – up screen will show as below.

Click on the Confirm button to Detach the Asset.

A message will then be displayed that the Asset has been detached.

Note that the option to Transfer the Component Asset will now be enabled and the option to Assign will now be enabled.
