How to add Asset Type?

Setting this up allows the checklist to be linked to an Asset Type.


Pre- requisites

  1. Manage Asset Types permission needs to be enabled.
  2. A Checklist needs to be created first.


Step 1:

Click on the Asset Types navigation bar item, found on the left beneath the Job Types navigation bar item.

You will be taken to the below screen.

You can search for an Asset Type by using the search function, as shown below.

Click on the +Asset Type button located at the top left corner.


 

Step 2:

Fill in the details for the Asset Type.

Enter a Name for your Asset Type and select a Risk Level from the drop-down list.

 Select the Checklists that are applicable, to be added to the Asset Type.

Set up the Custom Field details if there are any.

Under Field Label, enter the Name of the Custom Field.

Under Placeholder, enter Placeholder text.

If the Asset type has Default values, they can be entered under Default.

If the Custom Field is required, then tick the Required? Checkbox

Once done, tap on the +icon to add the Custom Field.


 

The Custom field will look like the below once added.

Under Asset group, select an Asset Group from the drop-down list.

  


Once you have completed all Asset Type details, simply click the Create Asset Type button to save the Asset Type.
