Pre-requisites:
- Create Custom Fields permission needs to be enabled.
- Update Custom Fields permission needs to be enabled.
Step 1:
Click on the Custom Fields navigation bar item, found on the left beneath the Asset Groups navigation bar item.
Search for the Template to add custom fields to or the Template has just been created and landed on this page.
On the Edit Template screen, click on the Add New Custom Field button.
Step 2:
Add the name of the custom field and create a place holder for it (placeholder acts like a hint)
Under the Input Type, select the format of the text for the field. (This specifies the data format).
Once the input type is specified, Under the Dev Site Field you can enter the Data and you can also click on the edit icon to edit it. Or the field can be left empty and filled in at a later stage.
Once the Custom Field is added, it will be listed as below.
Then you can click again Add New Custom Field button.
Custom field using Yes\No option.
The response can be toggled Yes/No.
Custom field using Pre-defined list option.
You will be presented with the below Pre-defined Answer List screen.
The below screen is used to define the answers for the custom field.
Enter the first answer and then click on the Add Answer button.
The added answers will be listed as shown below, once done click on the Save Predefined Answer List button.
You will be then taken to the Update Custom Field screen where you can select the answer from the drop down or edit it at a later stage.
Once done, click on the Update Custom Field button.
