Prerequisites:
- Assets must be onboarded via QR code on the mobile app or via the asset import tool on the web app.
- Primary user of the account needs to request for the feature to be enabled from us.
- Primary user can enable the feature per Asset Types.
- Other users do not have the option to view or switch the feature on.
Step 1:
Once you have contacted us and the feature is switched on, navigate to the Asset Type that you wish to switch the feature on.
Step 2:
Search for the Asset Type that you wish to switch the feature on for.
Step 3:
On the Overview screen of the Asset Type, under Asset type Configuration, the status of the Feature is visible.
Step 4:
Click on the Edit menu item, as shown below.
Step 5:
Select the option to ‘Allow inspections to be actioned without scanning a barcode’ and click on the Save button, as shown below.
Step 6:
On the mobile app, tap on the QR code icon, as shown below.
Note that we now have three options on how the Inspection can be started.
The Scan option is the default selected method. This allows the Asset to be inspected by scanning the barcode via the camera.
The NFC option allows for the Asset to be inspected using an NFC chip.
The Search option allows for the Asset to be searched using Barcode, Internal Id or Custom Fields.
Select the Search option to get started with barcode less inspection.
Step 7:
Type the Barcode or Internal Id or Custom field of the Asset.
Step 8:
Tap on the Asset to select and continue to the Checklist selection screen to get started with the Inspection.
