How to add Custom fields with Defaulting values?

Step 1:

Click on the Asset Types navigation bar item, found on the left beneath the Job Types navigation bar item.

This will take you to the below screen.

You can also search for an Asset Type that needs to be edited by using the search function, as shown below.

 

Step 2:

Click on the Asset Type and you will be taken to the Overview screen, which shows asset summary information as shown in the below screen.

Click on the Custom Fields menu item to add custom fields with a default attribute.

 

 Step 3:

Create the Custom Field by entering the Field Label name, the placeholder and the Default value.

If it’s a required field, tick the required checkbox.

When done tap on the + icon to add the field.

The Custom field with a Default attribute will then be added as shown below.

Click on the Save button to save changes.

You can also view the Default value by clicking on the Predefined Value, as shown below.

  

You can add more values if needed and set new default values.

On the mobile app the default value would look like the below.
